About

Facility is located within 5 miles of the town of La Porte, CA on the Feather River Ranger District at an approximate altitude of 5100 feet in a natural forest environment. Little Grass Valley reservoir is a 1600 ac., clear mountain lake located on the Plumas National Forest, Feather River Ranger District near the town of La Porte, CA. It is part of a larger network of streams, rivers and reservoirs that link features of the South Fork Feather River system with Lake Oroville. Scenic vistas, watchable wildlife and historic mining sites are in immediate or close proximity to the facility. Both winter and summer recreation opportunities are available. Operations are seasonal due to winter snow. Late openings occur. Camping, boating and day use are limited to seasons when no snow is present. Snowmobile trails, warming huts and toilets are available in winter. The facility opening for the summer season is dependent upon snow level. The facility is used by the local chapter of E Clampus Vitus for camping during it’s annual event in July.
