Park Overview

Located in the Sierra Nevada approximately 6 miles East of Historic Truckee, CA. Truckee River RV Park provides a central location to all the great outdoor activities the area has to offer. Less than one mile from Boca/Stampede Reservoir and across the street from the Truckee River. Enjoy excellent river fishing and white water rafting, hiking and biking in the summer and some of the best alpine and nordic skiing in the winter.Close to Northstar-at-Tahoe and the world famous Squaw Valley, site of the 1960 Winter Olympics. Approximately 16 miles to Lake Tahoe, the largest alpine lake in North America. Historic downtown Truckee has a variety shopping and dining options. We are a full hook-up park with showers and laundry facility.General store, deli, gas station and propane sales onsite.

From Truckee or Reno: I-80 to Hirshdale Road, Exit 194. Turn right on Hirshdale Road and continue to the park entrance.

Camp-California is concerned about the health and safety of our campers and adventurers. While camping and outdoor activities do offer the ability to self-isolate, we are encouraging all California residents and travelers to shelter in place until further notice. We recognize that getting outdoors is what you do best, and we will be here to reacquaint you with nature once we're cleared for adventure again!


Most private parks are open with 14-day minimums. If you are a full-time RVer looking to shelter in place, a member of the traveling medical profession, or a utility worker looking for a park please call our office and we can connect you with an appropriate location.
