Ten Mile Campground is a primitive campground located 5 miles from Hume Lake on Ten Mile Road. A beautiful stream runs through the campground. Nearby Hume Lake is one of Sequoia National Forest’s most visited destinations. The area offers year-round recreational opportunities, including fishing, canoeing, hiking, biking, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. This is black bear country; special food storage regulations are in effect and must be followed. Maximum of two vehicles allowed per single site, four per double sites No all-terrain or off-highway vehicle use in the campground. In accordance with standard industry practices, Sequoia Recreation will be assessing a $7 additional vehicle fee per night on the second vehicle in each single family campsite, and on the third and fourth vehicle in any double family campsite, provided these vehicles are not joined to the first vehicle by a hitch and towed onto the site. In the case of motorcycles, the first two are considered to be one vehicle and the third and fourth are also considered to be one vehicle. No additional vehicle fees are collected for bicycles. Camping fee does not include National Park Service entrance fee. This facility is operated by Sequoia Recreation, a division of California Land Management and comments are welcome; comment forms are available from campground hosts or online. Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed.
