Spring Canyon Campground, on the shoreline of Lake Roosevelt, is perfect for those who enjoy being on the water. The 130-mile long lake is a feature of the Columbia River created by the Grand Coulee Dam. The lake is named after President Franklin D. Roosevelt and is a part of the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area, managed by the National Park Service. Campers have the convenience of a day-use swimming area and plenty of space to sit back and soak up the summer sun and cooler days of spring and fall. There are no electricity, water or sewer site hookups Flush toilets are available from mid-April to mid-October, weather permitting Campfires are not allowed in upper loop sites 32-78 Off-road vehicles are not permitted Boat launch fee is $8 for a seven-day pass No metal detectors or artifact collecting allowed Beach fires are permitted year-round on the exposed lake bed, EXCEPT when the fire danger rating for the park is at or below Level 2 as indicated by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources for the area that includes Lake Roosevelt NRA. Don’t Move Firewood: Help protect our forests! Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site.
