Silver Falls State Park is the kind of standout scenic treasure that puts Oregon firmly onto the national – and international – stage. Nestled in the foothills of Oregon's Cascade Mountains, less than an hour east of the state capital of Salem, Oregon, the sprawling 9,200 acre property is the largest state park in Oregon, and one of the most popular. MAKE SURE YOUR SITE MEETS YOUR CAMPING NEEDS Before reserving, please become familiar with the particulars of your chosen site, including the size of the tent pad area and the type of equipment that you may bring to the park. Site details and tent pad sizes can be viewed online by clicking on the site name. Reservations for the Old and New Ranch buildings are now being made through the Silver Falls Conference Center. Due to safety reasons and visitor conflicts, pets are not allowed on the Canyon Trail (also known as the Trail of Ten Falls) or inside facilities such as log cabins, lodges, or restrooms. ODOT vehicle length restriction on Hwy 214: Vehicle maximum length is 45 feet, 65 feet if there is a tow vehicle. Only one vehicle is included with standard camp fees. A second vehicle kept at a campsite (or alternate parking area) is subject to a nightly Extra Vehicle fee. The nightly Extra Vehicle fee is currently $7.00.
