Schwarz Campground is located below Dorena Lake in Oregon's Southern Willamette Valley. The campground is approximately five miles from the city of Cottage Grove. A variety of recreational opportunities are available, including fishing, boating, swimming and hiking. A number of historic covered bridges can also be found in the area. Alcohol is prohibited at all U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Dorena Lake lands and areas, including Schwarz Park (Campground) and lease areas. Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance. This campground requires you to reserve 2 nights on weekends, and 3 nights on holiday weekends for single sites or double sites. The campground is open the 4th week of April through the 2nd weekend in September. Camping fee covers only the camping unit (motorhome, trailer, pickup camper, or one vehicle with tents) and any towed vehicle which enters the park attached to the main camping unit. All additional vehicles will pay the $6.00 extra vehicle fee. Maximum 3 additional vehicles per single site or 6 vehicles for double site are permitted in park. There is no electricity, water or sewer site hook-ups at this campground. For medical equipment that will need power, please bring your own battery back-up, as campers will not be allowed to run generators during quiet hours.
