About

Los Alamos Campground is located 90 minutes from Los Angeles, offering a restful experience without the lengthy travel time. Guests enjoy the beauty of the nearby Pyramid Lake at the base of mountains, and the excitement of lake activities like jet skiing and wakeboarding. Water in Pyramid Lake takes a long journey from Plumas National Forest and Oroville Dam in northern California. An aqueduct carries the water down through the Tehachapi Mountains to its southern California resting point at Pyramid Lake. Bears frequent the area; all food must be kept in approved containers. No RV hookups available. Boat trailers are allowed in a campsite, but are considered part of the two vehicle maximum. Quagga Muscle Inspections at Pyramid Lake: Please be aware that these inspections are taking place at the entrance to Pyramid Lake for all vessels not previously inspected. Be prepared for inspections and always arrive with your vessel CLEAN, DRAINED AND DRY of all water. For more information visit: www.dfg.ca.gov/invasives/quaggamussel. Campsite reservation fee covers 6 people and 1 vehicle. Maximum number of people per site is 8 ($10.00 additional charge after 6 people). Maximum number of vehicles per site is 2 ($10.00 additional charge for 2nd vehicle).

Don’t Move Firewood: Protect California’s forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. For more information visit firewood.ca.gov.
