Pomo Day-Use Area is situated on Lake Mendocino in California’s Mendocino Range, where the redwood forests meet California wine country. The lake is formed by the Coyote Dam on the Russian River. A wide variety of recreational opportunities are available, including boating, swimming, water skiing, fishing, hiking and horseback riding. Pomo A picnic facilities are available only on a fist come, first served basis during the winter months. Day use areas open at 8 a.m. and close at dusk. Overnight parking in day use areas is not permitted. Off road vehicles not permitted. Dogs must be leashed and are permitted in Pomo C only, not in Pomo A or B No signs or balloons may be attached to property. Electricity to be used for cooking units only Please call park headquarters at 707-467-4200 for special requests, including amplified music, bounce houses, more than 50 people, etc.
