About

Lakeside Campground is located on the picturesque Prosser Reservoir, in the Tahoe National Forest. It is just 10 minutes from Truckee. Visitors enjoy the area for its boating, canoeing, fishing and abundant hiking and off-road trails. Off-road vehicles can only be used to enter and exit the facility. Recreational riding is not allowed in the campground. BBQs only refers to fire pits with BBQ grate as an amenity, not stand-alone BBQs. Not all sites have stand-alone BBQs but they all have pits with grates. Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed. For current fire conditions or weather closures contact the Truckee Ranger District (530) 587-3558 (voice), (530) 587-6907 (TDD).

Don’t Move Firewood: Protect California’s forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. For more information visit firewood.ca.gov.
