Lake Owyhee State Park is a remote oasis catering to camping and boating on the shore of a scenic desert canyon reservoir. Owyhee Reservoir is a 53-mile-long lake, filling a narrow, deep canyon brimming with colorful volcanic rock formations. The cabins at Indian Creek Campground at Lake Owyhee State Park are reservable March 1 through November 14th. McCormack Campground at Lake Owyhee State Park is open from April 15 through October 31, with reservations May 1 through September. Camping will be available first come, first served mid-April until May 1 and all of October. Potable water is only available mid-April through mid-October. No pay phones or cell phone service at the park. Volunteer hosts and staff are not always available. This is a remote recreational experience. Please prepare accordingly. MAKE SURE YOUR SITE MEETS YOUR CAMPING NEEDS Before reserving, please become familiar with the particulars of your chosen site, including the size of the tent pad area and the type of equipment that you may bring to the park. Site details and tent pad sizes can be viewed online by clicking on the site name. Only one vehicle is included with standard camp fees. A second vehicle kept at a campsite (or alternate parking area) is subject to a nightly Extra Vehicle fee. The nightly Extra Vehicle fee is currently $7.00. If you reserve a cabin, please look for your access combination in the confirmation letter, immediately following the DIRECTIONS to the park. Check in time is 4pm. Check out time is 1pm.
