Kyen Campground and Day-Use Area is situated on Lake Mendocino in California's Mendocino Range, where redwood forests meet wine country. The lake is formed by the Coyote Dam on the Russian River. A wide variety of recreational opportunities is available, including boating, swimming, water skiing, fishing, hiking and horseback riding. High water levels may result in the closure of sites #74-103 and the Oak Grove Day Use Area. If the areas are closed, reservation holders will be refunded in full and notified as soon as possible. Campground entry gate will be closed at 9 p.m. through October 31, 2015.
