Kettle Falls Locust Grove Group Site is on the northern section of Lake Roosevelt and convenient to the town of Kettle Falls. The facility is 0.25 miles away from the main Kettle Falls Campground, which has a multi-lane boat launch. It is popular for groups of boaters, fishermen and water sports enthusiasts. The Kettle Falls area is rich in history of American Indians as well as the fur trade; campers can learn more at a park visitor center less than 10 miles away. Lake Roosevelt is a 130-mile lake on the Columbia River created by the Grand Coulee Dam. Named after President Franklin D. Roosevelt, it is part of the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area and managed by the National Park Service. Group sites A and B are closed on Wednesdays for maintenance Site A allows 75 people and 35 vehicles maximum; site B allows 50 people and 25 vehicles maximum There are no electricity, water or sewer site hook-ups Site A has an electric outlet The flush toilets are open from mid-April to mid-October, weather permitting No metal detectors or collecting artifacts allowed No livestock No off-highway vehicles allowed Lake level may also effect the water supply No off-road parking; park in designated areas only Pets are allowed and must be restrained at all times For additional park information including other camping regulations, visit the www.nps.gov/laro or call 509-754-7889 Beach fires are permitted year-round on the exposed lake bed, EXCEPT when the fire danger rating for the park is at or below Level 2 as indicated by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources for the area that includes Lake Roosevelt NRA.
