Horse Creek Campground is located on the Kaweah River in the foothills of central California’s Sierra Nevada Mountains. The Terminus Dam on Kaweah Lake is three miles east. Park Hours: Peak Season: 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. (Memorial Day through Labor Day) Non-Peak Season: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. Access to the shoreline may vary from month to month After hours, the entrance is closed to inbound traffic Seasonal Flooding: Horse Creek. Campground experiences seasonal flooding due to rising lake water between mid-April and mid-July. Reservations are limited during this time. Sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis until they are submerged by the rising lake water or access road is no longer inaccessible. Selected sites are accessible via water. Boat-in camping is allowed for a $20/night fee. Please contact the Lake Kaweah office at (559) 597-2301 for further information. Horse Creek Campground’s campsite fee includes parking for two vehicles. Any additional vehicles parked within the campground, whether staying overnight or just visiting, are required to pay an additional vehicle fee of $4.00 per day.
