About
Fremont Point Cabin is located on top of the Winter Rim in North Central Lake County, Oregon. The newly constructed cabin, which was completed in the summer of 2015, sits on the same footprint as its predecessor, which was destroyed during a forest fire in 2002. Through numerous donations of funding, materials, and volunteer labor, the cabin has been rebuilt and is now ready for you to enjoy. While the cabin is available year-round, off season access may be limited to foot or snowmobile depending on weather conditions, as the roads are not maintained in the winter. Cell phone service is usually available at the cabin. There is no cleaning service. Guests must clean the cabin prior to their departure. Bring enough water for all needs during your stay. Dishes and cookware are not provided. Firewood is not provided (during the winter months there is firewood provided for ski/snowshoe-in guests). There is no trash service. Pack out what you pack in. Vehicle parking is limited at the cabin. When wet or snowy, FSR 034 may become slick and muddy, requiring a four-wheel drive vehicle to traverse. Please watch weather conditions closely.
