Four Jeffrey is a mostly shaded campground with gorgeous views of Table Mountain along the South Fork of Bishop Creek. Campers enjoy fishing and swimming in the trout-stocked creek. The nearby John Muir Wilderness provides plenty of hiking opportunities to view impressive lakes and glaciers. Bears frequent the area; keep all food out of sight in approved containers or locked inside your vehicle and remove all food from area after eating. This campground has first-come, first-served sites. Limit 2 passenger vehicles or 1 RV/trailer per site. For more information on Inyo National Forest. Hiking within the Inyo Wilderness requires a special permit for both day and overnight stays. These permits are managed through a limited allocation system.
