Evans Group Camp, along the northern shoreline of Lake Roosevelt, is the most northern campground on the lake that can be reserved. The site is long and narrow, an orientation that allows for a fantastic, clear view of the lake from every vantage point. There is one group campsite that can accommodate one group of up to 25 people at a time. Lake Roosevelt is a 130-mile lake on the Columbia River created by the Grand Coulee Dam. Named after President Franklin D. Roosevelt, it is part of the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area and managed by the National Park Service. Closed on Wednesdays for maintenance There are no electricity, water and sewer site hookups Flush toilets are open from mid-April to mid-October, weather permitting Lake level may affect the water supply No livestock No off-road vehicles allowed Four vehicles maximum per group site No off-road parking; park in designated areas only Pets are allowed and must be restrained at all times For additional park information including other camping regulations, visit the www.nps.gov/laro or call 509-754-7889 Beach fires are permitted year-round on the exposed lake bed, EXCEPT when the fire danger rating for the park is at or below Level 2 as indicated by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources for the area that includes Lake Roosevelt NRA. Don’t Move Firewood: Help protect our forests! Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site.
