Nestled in an old-growth forest near the summit of the Blue Mountains, Emigrant Springs State Heritage Area offers visitors an opportunity to camp and explore a popular pioneer stopover along the Oregon Trail. Camp in the campground, or bring your horse and camp in the reservable horse camp. For those that are not fully equipped for traditional camping, rent one of our cabins for a warm, dry and comfortable stay. Picnic among towering trees or bring your group for overnight or daytime activities in our community building. The Community Building may be reserved by calling the park directly at 541-983-2277. Horse camps are closed during winter. Call park for additional information. MAKE SURE YOUR SITE MEETS YOUR CAMPING NEEDS Before reserving, please become familiar with the particulars of your chosen site, including the size of the tent pad area and the type of equipment that you may bring to the park. Site details and tent pad sizes can be viewed online by clicking on the site name. Please note that Emigrant Springs State Heritage Area is located in Eastern Oregon near Pendleton. Emigrant Lake, also known as Emigrant Reservoir, is in Jackson County, near Ashland. Only one vehicle is included with standard camp fees. A second vehicle kept at a campsite (or alternate parking area) is subject to a nightly Extra Vehicle fee. The nightly Extra Vehicle fee is currently $7.00. The Group Camp at Emigrant Springs is now reservable. If you reserve a cabin, please look for your access combination in the confirmation letter, immediately following the DIRECTIONS to the park. Between Oct 15 – 31 water may be shut down to campsites and cabins on short notice due to weather conditions. Water at campsites and cabins is turned off during winter, and will be turned back on in the spring as soon as weather permits. Water is available at the restroom and shower building.
