About

Charbonneau Park in Eastern Washington was named one of America's Top 100 Family Campgrounds. It is located on Lake Sacajawea, formed by Ice Harbor Lock and Dam on the Lower Snake River. The park was named for Toussaint Charbonneau, an interpreter for Lewis and Clark and husband of Sacajawea, the famous Shoshone interpreter on the Corps of Discovery. The park provides excellent recreational opportunities for boaters, campers, hikers, bikers, upland and waterfowl hunters and anglers. No overflow camping available Only stand alone hammocks allowed Alcohol beverages prohibited Park gate closed from 10 p.m. 6 a.m. Motorized/battery operated scooters and toy cars prohibited Pets must be restrained at all times Campground check-in time is after 2 p.m. (no exceptions) All campers must stop and check-in at gate house before proceeding into the campground Don’t Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site.
