About

You will hear the pounding surf from your campsite at Carl G. Washburne. Hiking, nature study and beachcombing are just some of the attractions here. Enjoy the three trails that lead to the beach from the Camp ground: The Valley trail to the Hobbit trail, Carl G Washburn Day-use trail, and the beach trail. Or hike the Valley trail to the Heceta Head Trail to lead you to the Heceta Head Lighthouse. Heceta Lighthouse is just 2 miles south on Hwy 101. The picturesque lighthouse is open for tours year round, staff and weather dependent. Call 541-547-3416 or email [email protected] for more information. Only one vehicle is included with standard camp fees. A second vehicle kept at a campsite (or alternate parking area) is subject to a nightly Extra Vehicle fee. The nightly Extra Vehicle fee is currently $7.00. Currently we are only taking reservations for the yurts. Campsites are on a first come, first serve basis. If you reserve a yurt, please look for your access combination in the confirmation letter, immediately following the DIRECTIONS to the park. For information on discount programs call the OPRD Information Center at 1-800-551-6949 or visit us online at www.OregonStateParks.org.
