Site details and tent pad sizes can be viewed online by clicking on the site name. Due to COVID-19 impacts and budget reductions, there is a significant impact to our services. All shower facilities are closed at the coastal parks at this time. No walk-in camping is allowed. For other reduced services, please visit the park website at Only one vehicle is included with standard camp fees. A second vehicle kept at a campsite (or alternate parking area) is subject to a nightly Extra Vehicle fee. Beach access may be difficult year round at Cape Lookout. From October through March winter weather may cause closure of part or all of the campground. Call park for updates. RV dump station is closed in winter closed until just before Memorial Day. Seasonal Beach Restrictions March 15 – Sep. 15 Some beaches have seasonal recreation restrictions during nesting season for the western snowy plover. On these beaches, foot and equestrian traffic are permitted on wet sand only; all other recreation is prohibited. Areas with special rules are marked on the beach with signs. Information: Please be aware that all garbage dumpsters in the overnight campground have been removed. To help retain the natural beauty of the park for our visitors, we ask that all garbage be brought to the trash compactor located near the registration booth and not left in the restrooms or at your campsite. A central recycling station is located beside the trash compactor. For information on discount programs call the OPRD Information Center at 1-800-551-6949 or visit us online at
