Bushay Recreation Area is situated on Lake Mendocino in California's Mendocino Range, where redwood forests meet wine country. The lake is formed by the Coyote Dam on the Russian River. A wide variety of recreational opportunities is available, including boating, swimming, water skiing, fishing, hiking and horseback riding. Accessible sites are available on a first come, first served basis Register for campsites during booth hours, 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Entrance gate is closed and locked at 10 p.m. Off-road vehicles not permitted. High water levels may result in the closure of the Bushay Recreation Area. If the area is closed, reservation holders will be refunded in full and notified as soon as possible. Debit or credit payments only. No cash.
