Boca Rest Campground is located on Boca Reservoir in the Tahoe National Forest,15 minutes from Truckee, California. Visitors enjoy the area for its boating, swimming, fishing and abundant hiking opportunities. Off-road vehicles can only be used to enter and exit the facility; Recreational riding is not allowed within the campground. Walk-ins available early October through mid-May. BBQs only refers to fire pits with BBQ grate as an amenity, not stand-alone BBQs. Not all sites have stand-alone BBQs but they all have pits with grates. Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed. Watercraft may not be launched from the shoreline, including from the campground shoreline. Use designated day use areas outside of the campground to launch watercraft, including boat launch on the other side of the lake from the campground.
