Belknap Campground sits by a small stream and sequoia grove at 5,000 feet elevation in the Giant Sequoia National Monument. The Tule River and Belknap Creek run through or near the campground. Six people per site including children Off-road vehicles, trailers and RVs are not permitted. This is bear country; campers must bring approved bear containers and take precautions. In accordance with standard industry practices, Sequoia Recreation will be assessing a $7 additional vehicle fee per night on the second vehicle in each single family campsite, and on the third and fourth vehicle in any double family campsite, provided these vehicles are not joined to the first vehicle by a hitch and towed onto the site. In the case of motorcycles, the first two are considered to be one vehicle and the third and fourth are also considered to be one vehicle. No additional vehicle fees are collected for bicycles. This facility is operated by Sequoia Recreation, a division of California Land Management and comments are welcome; comment forms are available from campground hosts or online. Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed.
