Your DMV Disabled Placard/License Plate does not automatically give you a discount on your campsite. You will need to obtain a CA State park-issued Disabled Discount Pass (DDP) or Distinguished Veterans Pass (DVP). Customers must show proof of reservation (cofirmation letter) to ferry operator to aviod paying park entrance fee. Camping on Angel Island is a backpacking experience. Sites are from 1 to 2.5 miles from the ferry dock. Transportation is not provided to the campsites. Bicycles are allowed. Paved and dirt access roads have an elevation gain of up to 250 feet. Weekday ferry service to Angel Island during the winter months is limited and subject to change. Call the ferry company ahead of time to confirm schedule. The Cove Cafe, bicycle rentals, and tram tours are generally not available during the winter months. Call ahead. Vehicles, dogs, skates, skateboards, and scooters are prohibited on Angel Island at all times.
