Umpqua Lighthouse is located near some of the best crabbing and sports fishing along the Oregon coast. Hiking, picnicking and fishing are just some of the favorite activities. The dunes near the park are open to OHV riding 24 hours. The nearest staging area for OHVs is approximately 1 1/2 miles from the park. There is no direct access to the dunes from Umpqua Lighthouse State Park. Umpqua River Lighthouse and Museum, run by Douglas County Parks, is 1/2 mile from the park and open for tours May through September. MAKE SURE YOUR SITE MEETS YOUR CAMPING NEEDS Before reserving, please become familiar with the particulars of your chosen site, including the size of the tent pad area and the type of equipment that you may bring to the park. Site details and tent pad sizes can be viewed online by clicking on the site name. Only one vehicle is included with standard camp fees. A second vehicle is subject to a nightly Extra Vehicle fee. The nightly Extra Vehicle fee is currently $7.00. Maximum 2 vehicles per site. If you reserve a yurt or cabin, please look for your access combination in the confirmation letter, immediately following the DIRECTIONS to the park.
