Quincy / Plumas County

Quincy, a 19th-century logging and mining town, is surrounded by wilderness, including more than 50 lakes and nearly 1,000 miles of streams.

In town, enjoy displays of logging, mining, and Maidu Indian life at the Plumas County Museum. Nearby Lake Almanor Recreation Area offers fishing, swimming, waterskiing, and camping. Hikers can access the Pacific Crest Trail in Bucks Lake Wilderness. Duffers with a yearning to golf on the edge of the wild, will revel in the two championship courses in Graeagle.
