Historic Railroad Square, Santa Rosa

Santa Rosa’s Old Town in the Heart of the Wine Country. Authentically restored turn-of-the-century buildings with specialty shops, Antique Row, award winning restaurants and lodging.

Railroad Square was added to the Register of Historic Places in 1979. The area grew with the advent of the railroad in the late 1800s. The impressive basalt buildings bordering the park were made from stone quarried in the nearby hills. Several of the stone buildings survived the 1906 earthquake, which did major damage to Santa Rosa. Now Railroad Square is a busy shopping district and a wonderful spot to spend some time enjoying the fine restaurants and great shopping.
