The McCloud Chamber of Commerce invites sports enthusiasts of all levels to have a day of fun in historic McCloud. HELMETS ARE REQUIRED! Events include: The Harris Springs and McCloud Dam Ride, 5 and 10 K Runs, Cycle-cross, Bike Rodeo, Bike Parade highlighting vintage bikes and bands, beer, food, and fun downtown.
Round-Up Week festivities are kicked off with the ‘running of the bucking horses’ through town as local rodeo stock provider John Growney and his crew herd over 100 rodeo horses down Main Street… just like they did in the good old days!
We in the Lakehead Community of Shasta Lake would like to WELCOME all anglers old and young to our Trout Derby. We hope you will get to know all that this part of Shasta Lake has to offer. We want you to experience what we already know. Lakehead and the Sacramento Arm of Shasta Lake truly are a wonderful place to fish and have a really good time. Each year in the early Fall, visitors and residents flock to the Susanville Depot, 601 Richmond Road, for the Rails to Trails Festival. This is one of those events that will draw families and enthusiasts year after year so be prepared to get “hooked.” Come prepared for weather changes and you will thoroughly enjoy yourselves!! The Rails to Trails Festival is planned in coordination with the Bizz Johnson Marathon.
Our Damboree event takes place the fist Saturday in May every year. We start with a great Pancake Breakfast at our local fire hall followed by a Parade and then we move to the Day at The Park where you will find great food, craft vendors and plenty of entertainment. Bring your chairs and a blanket to lay down and have a picinc on and plan on spending the entire day enjoying our local weather, food, fair vendors and entertainment.
