Coronado Flower Show

The Coronado Flower Show is held annually on the third weekend of April in Spreckels Park in the center of Coronado’s Village. This is the largest flower show held under tents in the nation. Exhibits are placed inside tents surrounding a central gazebo, which becomes the stage for continuous entertainment, announcements and trophy presentations.

The Mother Goose Parade

The Mother Goose Parade was originated in 1947 by Thomas Wigton, Jr., and a group of El Cajon businessmen. This parade was their gift from the business community to the “Children of East County.” So, Is It A Big Deal? The Mother Goose Parade attracts upwards of 400,000 spectators and chooses a different theme each year. The parade has everything you’d want in a parade: marching units, bands, floats, clowns, the Queen and Court and equestrians.

Art in the Pines

Is a 2-day celebration of nature through the interpretive eye of the artist. Held for the 3rd year at a time when the Reserve’s wildflowers are in full bloom, the outdoor venue is atop the mesa near the Torrey Pines Visitor Center. Artists from the entire San Diego County region will display and sell their nature-based art for the benefit of the educational programs at the reserve.
