Doheny Blues Festival

Doheny Blues Festival Every May, the Doheny Blues Festival kicks off the summer concert season in Southern California. Blues legends and up-and-comers take over Doheny State Beach for three days of the best music you’ll ever hear. Bonnie Raitt, Brian Setzer, B.B. King, John Fogerty and Derek Trucks have all graced the stage in Dana Point in years past, and it is this caliber of talent that brings this music fest worldwide acclaim.

Festival of the Chariots

Festival of the Chariots – includes a free feast for thousands, free entertainment and exhibits and booths all bringing together the finest in Indian culture. The festival celebrates Lord Jagannatha, the Lord of the Universe, and is put on by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). The Festival of the Chariots is now performed in every country across the world and dates back thousands of years to Jagannatha Puri, India.

Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival

Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival – Saddle up and step back to a simpler time of chaps, saddles and old-time saloons. The Cowboy Festival will feature the best in Western gear, food, clothing, living history exhibits, and of course some of the world’s best Cowboy musicians and poets. The festival includes a mix of new attractions and returning favorites, including Dutch oven peach cobbler, trick ropers, authentic gear and a show stopping musical talent lineup.

Christmas Boat Parades

Christmas Boat Parades Join more than one million viewers and watch beautifully decorated yachts, boats, kayaks, and canoes sail along the harbor in the Annual Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade. As Newport Beach’s Christmas card to the world, the boat parade will set the harbor ablaze for five consecutive nights. The parade starts off Bay Island at 6:30 p.m. and finishes at the same site at approximately 9 p.m. each evening.

Tall Ships Festival

Tall Ships Festival This is the largest annual gathering of tall ships on the West Coast. You can explore the majesty and wonder of tall ships through the smells, sounds and sights of real working tall ships. Interactive living-history encampments, including blacksmiths and scrimshaw artists, and the infamous Port Royal Privateers, are sure to entertain and amaze quests of all ages.

Pageant of the Masters

Pageant of the Masters Ninety minutes of “tableaux vivant” or “living pictures” – incredibly faithful art recreations of classical to look exactly like their counterparts in the original pieces. An outdoor amphitheater, professional orchestra, original score, live narration, intricate sets, sophisticated lighting, expert staff and hundreds of dedicated volunteers have won recognition.

Festival of the Arts

Festival of the Arts California’s finest summer art event is staged in a six-acre canyon park near the ocean in Laguna Beach. The stars of his summertime tradition, which began here in 1932, are more than 140 of the Southland’s most accomplished artists. This is a rigorously juried show; requiring exhibitors to demonstrated and maintain high aesthetic standards. Their work is truly fine art!

Newport Beach Film Festival

Tet (Vietnamese Lunar New Year) Tet, the Lunar New Year, marks the beginning of spring and is the most observed holiday within the Vietnamese community. As a means to preserve culture, the Vietnamese American community celebrates Tet through a vibrant array of traditional foods, ceremonies and customs. Hosted annually by the Union of Vietnamese Student Association, the Tet Festival in Garden Grove is the largest Vietnamese Lunar New Year celebration in the U.S.

Newport Landing Sportfishing

Newport Landing Sportfishing is great for both beginners and experienced fisherman, with day fishing trips offered in the morning, afternoon, and evening daily. Catch over two dozen different species of fish including giant yellowtail up to 40 pounds, halibut, kelp bass, barracuda, red snapper, and many more. Hundreds of fish per each trip is common. Catalina Island day trips are offered daily and they catch giant yellowtail to 50 pounds, white sea bass to 60 pounds, yellowfin tuna (summer months) and dozens more. Overnight and longer trips are also available. Check our website for availability and schedule. Each ship has a full-service kitchen onboard and fish cleaning. Rental gear and everything you would need for your trip is also available.
