Park Directions

Located 22 miles South of Carmel By The Sea on Highway One. Driving time from Carmel/Monterey is approximately 45 minutes. From the South:Take 101 North to San Luis Obispo, then Hwy 1 North to Big Sur. We are located 1½ miles North of Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park on the Left (West) side of Highway 1. PLEASE NOTE: It is a sharp left U-turn down our driveway from the South. If you will be driving a large RV or pulling a trailer we recommend continuing North 3/10 of a mile and turning around near the River Inn. There is a large pull-out on the Right (East) side of the highway.You can drive through the pullout and then head back South to park. From the North:Take 101 South to Prunedale, use the CA 156 to Monterey Peninsula Hwy. 1 exit, then follow Hwy. 1 South. We are located 22 miles South of Carmel, the 2nd campground on the Right past the River Inn.

Camp-California is concerned about the health and safety of our campers and adventurers. While camping and outdoor activities do offer the ability to self-isolate, we are encouraging all California residents and travelers to shelter in place until further notice. We recognize that getting outdoors is what you do best, and we will be here to reacquaint you with nature once we're cleared for adventure again!


Most private parks are open with 14-day minimums. If you are a full-time RVer looking to shelter in place, a member of the traveling medical profession, or a utility worker looking for a park please call our office and we can connect you with an appropriate location.
