California Flower Fields in Carlsbad

Winter blues got you down? Brighten Your Day with a trip to The Flower Fields!

Located in Carlsbad, California the Flowers Fields burst with color every year from March 1st to May 12th providing a peek into spring and an opportunity to enjoy some San Diego sunshine.

With self-guided and group walking tours as well as antique tractor wagon rides there are many ways to enjoy all the farm has to offer. Rows of flowers are just the beginning as you wander through the farm you can enjoy the Artist Garden or Orchid Greenhouse while the kids take in a little sluice mining or get lost in the Sweet Pea Maze. Take a load off and enjoy a movie at the Paul Ecke Jr Barn and learn more about the vibrant history of The Flower Fields.

The Flower Fields date back nearly 100 years when an early settler and horticulturist, Luther Gage brought along some Ranunculus seeds and began growing them in South Oceanside. The farm has “blossomed” into a thriving regional tourist attraction with event opportunities, historical information and of course floral products from the Armstrong Garden Center.
