Battery Point Lighthouse, Crescent City
The Battery Point Lighthouse at Crescent City was first lit in 1856. It was deactivated from 1965-1982. The tower is 45' tall. The original lens was a fourth order Fresnel lens installed in 1856. The current lens is a fifth order Drumm Fresnel lens installed in 1953.
The lighthouse is currently owned by Del Norte County. The tower and museum are open April 1 through September 30. And from October 1 through March 31 - weekends only or by prior arrangement at other times.Directions: Access the lighthouse from the West side of Harbor and Foot of "A" Street.
