The Getty Center, Los Angeles

The Getty Center presents the Getty's collection of Western art from the Middle Ages to the present against a backdrop of dramatic architecture, tranquil gardens, and breathtaking views.
It includes European paintings, drawings, manuscripts, sculpture and decorative arts, and European and American photographs, along with a selection from the special collections of the Research Library at the Getty Research Institute. The grounds include modern architecture and gardens.

There is an orientation film that gives an overview of the collections on view at the Getty Center.
Admission to the Getty Center and to all exhibitions is FREE—no tickets or reservations are required for general admission. Parking is $15, although it is free after 5 pm.

Hours for the Getty Center site and galleries:

Tuesday–Friday   10:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.

Saturday   10:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m.

Sunday   10:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.

Monday   CLOSED

Closed Mondays and on January 1, July 4, Thanksgiving, and December 25.
