Camp California! The Guide for Camping and RVing in California

Improve Your RV's Insulation

Improve your RV's insulation by sealing drafts to reduce the amount of cool air coming into the RV and hot air seeping out. Unfortunately, older models of RVs are not as well insulated as the newer versions. Repair or replace cracked and torn seals and gaskets. Spray foam or silicon can also be a simple fix to sealing up drafty leaks. If you find cold air seeping in from below the door, a cheap fix is to roll up a towel or old blanket and place it at the bottom of the door. This will keep drafty air from coming into the RV.
