No matter what time of year you visit, Lodi California offers visitors an abundance of entertainment options with our numerous festivals and events. Visitors can appreciate nature at the Sandhill Crane Festival or experience the arts at the First Friday Art Hop. Visitors will not want to miss Lodi wine events including Zinfest, Lodi Wine & Chocolate Weekend, and School Street Wine Stroll. During the holidays join us for the Lodi Parade of Lights or the Festival of Trees.
Sandhill Crane Festival - Long before Lodi existed, Sandhill Cranes descended into the rich delta wetlands at the end of a long migratory journey, some from nesting grounds as far away as Siberia. As they greeted California’s earliest explorers, these magnificent birds darkened the skies over winter marshes. In awe-inspiring numbers, and with a prehistoric call, stately gait, and elegant choreography, the Sandhill Crane continues to attract and inspire visitors.
ZinFest Wine Festival - Sip, swirl and savor from a selection of 200 handcrafted wines from over 40 Lodi wineries. Passionate winemakers and winery representatives welcome guests, offering practical knowledge and sharing their delicious wines. Enjoy local provisions, learn some new tips at the ZinFest Wine and Cooking Schools, or relax along the beautiful Mokelumne River to an eclectic mix of live music.
First Friday Art Hop - Experience an evening celebrating the Visual Arts. Permanent and temporary gallery spaces are open to the public, the first Friday of Each month. View art, meet the artists, sample wines and hors d’ oeuvres. Enjoy an evening out in Downtown Lodi.
Lodi Wine & Chocolate Festival - Taste handcrafted Lodi wines and decadent chocolate treats at over 50 wineries in the Lodi appellation. Travel from winery to winery while taking in each of the winery’s hosted activities such as wine and chocolate pairings, live music, barrel tasting and more.
San Juaquin County Fair - It features big-name concerts, live horse racing, a carnival, agriculture & livestock, food and local exhibits. You can still catch all of the biggest races live via satellite from all around California and across the country at Winners Gaming & Sports located on the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds.
Festival of Trees - Enjoy a spellbinding introduction to the holiday season. This family holiday event features more than 60 uniquely decorated Christmas trees, children's activities and make and take crafts, entertainment, food, photos with Santa, historical exhibits and demonstrations of pioneer or handcrafted work. The event takes on a historic flair with docents dressed in Victorian and pioneer clothes. Visitors will feel as though they took a step back in time to celebrate the holidays.
